Description
Waste Stalker
Biology: Reptilian Arachnid
Diet: Carnivore
Average Size: 8- 10 ft. tall
Regions: Jade Wastes, Oxide Desert
Physiology: Waste Stalkers are six-legged, monstrous creatures. Their long, serpentine necks end in a stunted skull, somewhat resembling a cross between a scorpion, alligator, and bird. The skull is topped by a ridged, triangular crest. Waste Stalkers have eight eyes capable of seeing into the infrared, ultraviolet, and normal visual spectrums. Their scorpion-like bodies are covered in thick layers of chitin, which is in turn covered in a crocodile-like skin. They also have two sinewy, scorpion tails, each tipped with a long, venomous, razor-sharp stinger.
Behavior: Waste Stalkers are solitary predators. They roam the Jade Wastes and northern Oxide desert, burying themselves in loose, sandy soil, waiting in ambush for potential prey. They are highly aggressive and will attack on sight. Invaders hunt and capture them, using them in arenas, pitting them against other creatures or captured slaves. They are asexual, and will fiercely guard their nests and hatchlings. A brood of Waste Stalker hatchlings are only slightly less dangerous than the adults, and can easily swarm and tear apart small bands of travelers with ease.
